My husband does not have four feet

Because they are bunched up, and may not be recognizable, let me solve the mystery for you. These are Greg's socks. Can anyone tell me how bunched up socks ever get clean? And you know they never dry completely when they are washed like this.

And yes, there are two pair (four socks) that are on the floor next to Greg's side of the bed. Now, you and I know that socks do not have the ability to procreate or reproduce.

I can promise you that Greg is aware that we do have a location to deposit dirty clothes. It has been in the same location for many years. One time I even tried buying him his very own clothes basket and placed it in the exact location of the socks in the photo. Sometimes the clothes made it in the basket, but most of the time they were 'in the vicinity'. Other than giving me something else to trip over this supposed solution to the issue didn't last long.

Why would his socks be the only item that never makes it to the laundry basket? I cannot answer that...it also perplexes me. I guess this is one of those marriage mysteries that will never be solved.

Please also notice the phone charger cord that the cats will probably play with because it resembles something that they should destroy. Greg will be angry with them and say mean things about them, but he is the one that left it there.

Veterans' Day Thanks

Every veteran should know that I am grateful EVERY day for the sacrifices of their service to our nation. Today just happens to be the official day to honor them.

No matter their personal beliefs, religious background or political affiliation, when called to duty these veterans serve our country so that future generations may reap every freedom and opportunity this GREAT country has to offer.

My thanks to my Grandfather, Dad, Bob, Uncles Willie and Dalton for their service. I am filled with pride to have friends and aquaintances that have also served. To every one, I am proud to know you and appreciate all that you have contributed.

"He, he, look like, he, look like...he look like a man."

I LOVE old Mad TV reruns, especially the Ms. Swan skits...

Randomness

  • I am not sure how Monkey Bread got its name, but I made some for work yesterday. It was really easy and quite delicious.

  • My Mo cat insists on drinking running water from the bathtub. He cries for it???

  • Greg is working evening shift and still loving his new job.

  • I am starting to wonder if winter will ever come :p

  • I would love to be a professional errand girl. And then I would like to have someone take care of all of my errands.

Don't be so selfish

If you haven't already cast your ballot please make your choice an unselfish one.

I am no longer going to consider how a candidate will help me. I voted for my country and the way things should be. I haven't for one second thought about what either of these candidates can do for me. I think it would be silly to think that either one of them will actually impact me as an individual.

I want to vote for a country that will continue in the path of prosperity for those that are willing to work hard and make sacrifices. I voted for a country that allows those that work hard to be successful. Gender, religion or race should never play a part in YOUR success as long as YOU earned it. There is no one that is 'owed' or 'due' anything from this country or it's government.

I was blessed to be born in a country that allows me every freedom, right and opportunity to make my own way. I can choose to work hard or not, but I also believe that I should live the life that I decide to provide myself (whatever that choice may be).

* You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.
* You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.
* You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.
* You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.
* You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.
* You cannot build character and courage, by taking away people's initiative and independence.
* You cannot help people permanently, by doing for them what they could and should, do for themselves.
